COVID

A review was completed of all temporary extended workforce policies related to COVID-19. Please see below for the status of our remaining policy and important information regarding its deactivation timeline and reimbursement processes.

COVID-related Sick Leave

  • Starting February 1, 2023, Google will no longer offer reimbursement for COVID-related sick leave. Until then, suppliers and staffing partners can continue to request reimbursement according to the policy eligibility and invoicing instructions below. Suppliers and staffing partners are expected to exhaust benefits associated with their own sick leave policies and any government benefits available before requesting reimbursement.

What this means for Modis/Akkodis TVCs:

  1. If you test positive for Covid prior to February 1, 2023, you will need to use your Paid Sick Leave (PSL) or Government PSL Benefits (where eligible under state or local law) first, then you can request to use Covid Sick Leave; up to your 80 hours reimbursement cap.
  2. Starting on February 1, 2023, Covid Sick Leave ends. If you test positive for Covid, you can use your Google PSL and any additional Government PSL Benefits (where eligible under state or local law).
  3. If you test positive for Covid on or after February 1, 2023, and you have used all of your PSL, and/or Government PSL Benefits (where eligible under state or local law), your Modis/Akkodis position with Google will be protected. We will share with you the information on how to file for a LOA, to check for eligibility.
