Procedures for Making up Time

Modified on Fri, 2 Aug, 2019 at 7:12 PM

Associates must follow project and team guidelines for requesting make-up time.

According to the Modis attendance policy, managers have the discretion to allow make up time or an adjustment to an associate's work schedule as a result of an unscheduled absence or tardy.  The manager's decision to grant make-up time or to adjust the work schedule will be based on business needs and the associate’s previous performance and adherence to PTO and attendance policies.

The time must be made up in the same work week in which the unscheduled absence occurred (Monday through Sunday) and should not result in a daily or weekly overtime impact to the customer.  Time that is made up with manager approval will not be counted as UTO and will not be applicable towards any corrective action.

Please note that some states have specific rules that must be followed on how much make-up time may be offered and specific procedures on how to request and record this time.

Department specific instructions for requesting make-up time maybe added here: Any request for make-up time MUST be discussed with your manager and will be considered on a case-by-case basis based on business need.
